Reach the chamber
Urgent matters do not follow court hours. If an arrest, a remand or an urgent bail application is involved, call rather than write.

Before you come
It is best to call or send a message first and fix a time, since court work means the chamber is not always occupied during the day.
What to bring
- A copy of the FIR, if one has been registered
- Any notice received from the police or an investigating agency
- Arrest memo and remand papers, where an arrest has taken place
- For a frozen account matter, the bank's communication and recent statements
- For an NDPS matter, the seizure and search papers
If you do not have any of these yet, come anyway. Obtaining the documents is often the first thing that needs doing, and it is part of the work.
